1. A. Consideration shall be given to the safety of water plant personnel and visitors.
2. B. The design shall comply with all applicable safety codes and regulations that include, but are not limited to, the codes adopted under the authority of Act 12 of the 2005 First Extraordinary Session, State Fire Marshal regulations (see LAC 55:V), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) standards.
3. C. Items to be considered include, but are not limited to, noise arresters, noise protection, confined space entry, protective equipment and clothing, gas masks, safety showers and eye washes, handrails and guards, warning signs, smoke detectors, toxic gas detectors and fire extinguishers.
