1. A. Care and maintenance fees will be based on total family income. This includes income from all sources (including but not limited to Social Security, United States Department of Veterans Affairs pension/compensation, private pension, account balances and interest from bank accounts or savings accounts, and/or interest bearing accounts/investments).
2. B. In no case will the fee charged to the resident be more than the actual cost of care, as determined by the secretary.
