1. A. The purpose of this regulation is to provide for the reasonable standardization of statewide billing audit guidelines for health care providers and payers; and to provide for related matters. These rules are based, at least in part, on the National Health Care Billing Audit Guidelines and variances in order to comply with R.S. 22:12.
