1. A. Racing officials serving in the capacity of stewards, placing and/or patrol judges, clerk of scales, starter, and horse identifier shall take and satisfactorily pass an optical examination within one year prior to the race meeting at which they serve, such examination evidencing corrected 20-20 vision and ability to distinguish colors correctly.
