1. A. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this plan, the employer may add to the amounts payable to any participant under the plan additional deferred compensation for services to be rendered by the participant to the employer during a payroll period, provided:

   1. 1. the participant has elected to have such additional compensation deferred, invested, and distributed pursuant to this plan, prior to the payroll period in which the compensation is earned; and
   2. 2. such additional compensation deferred, when added to all other compensation deferred under the plan, does
      not exceed the maximum deferral permitted by
      LAC 32:VII.303.A.
