1. A. As used in this Part, unless the content clearly provides otherwise, the following terms shall be defined as follows.

   1. Assistant Secretarythe assistant secretary of the Office of the State Museum.
   2. Boardthe Board of Directors of the Louisiana State Museum.
   3. DCRT or Departmentthe Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
   4. Demonstration Collectionobjects are considered to be expendable and may be used by staff and patrons in the interpretive programs of the OSM.
   5. Louisiana State Museuma statewide complex of facilities under the management and supervision of the office of the state museum, an agency in the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
   6. Museuma single building that is open to the general public within the Louisiana State Museum.
   7. OSM or AgencyOffice of the State Museum.
   8. Permanent Collectionobjects relate directly to the mission of OSM and support its primary goals. These objects are subject to the highest levels of documentation and care.
   9. Study Collectionobjects supplement the permanent collection and are maintained in order to support the research and educational functions of the OSM. Included is material that is duplicative or of lesser quality, significance, interest or use than the permanent collection.
