1. A. Preference will be given to projects that are regional (multi-parish) in scope.
2. B. Projects must have a positive economic impact on at least an entire parish.
3. C. Preference will be given to projects that enhance, expand or are intended to foster cooperation among both public and private development entities on a regional basis.
4. D. Preference will be given to rural areas and to proposals from organizations not already receiving economic development funds from the state.
5. E. No DED award funds can be used to fund ongoing operating costs.
