As used in KRS 394.700 to 394.715:

(5) "Electronic" means relating to technology having electrical, digital, magnetic, wireless, optical, electromagnetic, or similar capabilities; "Electronic presence" means the relationship of two (2) or more individuals in different locations communicating in real time to the same extent as if the individuals were physically present in the same location; "Electronic will" means a will executed electronically in compliance with the requirements of KRS 394.706; "Record" means information that is inscribed on a tangible medium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is retrievable in perceivable form; "Sign" means, with present intent to authenticate or adopt a record:

   1. (a) To execute or adopt a tangible symbol; or
   2. (b) To affix to or logically associate with the record an electronic symbol or process;

7. (7) "State" has the same meaning as in KRS 386B.1-010; and "Will" has the same meaning as in KRS 394.010.
