1. (1) The Attorney General, with the approval of the head of the cabinet involved, shall appoint assistant attorneys general for the Transportation Cabinet and the Finance and Administration Cabinet.
2. (2) The assistant attorneys general and additional attorneys provided for in subsection
3. (1) of this section shall each be a person admitted to the practice of law by the Supreme Court of this Commonwealth and shall qualify by taking the oath of office. They shall be paid out of the appropriation or other funds of the respective agency to which they are assigned.
