- (1) The Governor may remove any commissioner for cause, after giving him or her a copy of the charges against him or her and an opportunity of being publicly heard in person or by counsel in his or her own defense upon not less than ten (10) days' notice. If a commissioner is removed, the Governor shall file in the office of the Secretary of State a complete statement of all charges against the commissioner and his or her findings thereon, and a complete record of the proceedings.

- (3) Any commissioner so removed may bring action in the proper court to determine whether or not he or she was legally removed in accordance with this section.
