- (1) The county judge/executive shall be disqualified to act as county administrator by any fact that would disqualify a person under KRS 241.100 from acting as a member of the board. If he is disqualified to act as county administrator, or if a vacancy in that office occurs for any other reason, the judge of the Circuit Court of that county shall appoint to that position a person at least thirty (30) years of age who, at the time of appointment, has been a citizen of the state and a resident of that county for at least two (2) years next preceding the date of appointment, and who is able to qualify.
- (3) The appointee shall serve during the unexpired portion of the term or until the county judge/executive is able and willing to qualify.
