CERTIFICATION STATEMENT:

NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY:

KRS 151B.025(3) gives the Office of Career and Technical Education the responsibility for all administrative functions of the state in relation to the management, control, and operation of state-operated secondary area technology centers. This administrative regulation establishes requirements for the maintenance of state-operated secondary area technology centers.

Section 1. An area technology center owned by a local board of education shall:
1. (1) Be maintained in accordance with 705 KAR 3:141; and
2. (2) Expend at a minimum the share of funds awarded to the local board through the SEEK funds earmarked in the Kentucky Department of Education's budget for the operation of state-operated secondary area technology centers programs in state-operated facilities.
