1. (a) This act applies to guardianship and protective proceedings begun on or after January 1, 2026.
2. (b) K.S.A. 59-30,251 through 59-30,256 and 59-30,266 through 59-30,272, and amendments thereto, apply to proceedings begun before January 1, 2026, regardless of whether a guardianship or protective order has been issued.
