- (a) To allow a distributed energy retailer to provide informed and accurate information to a distributed energy customer pursuant to K.S.A. 50-6,147, and amendments thereto, upon request of any distributed energy retailer, a utility shall disclose all applications, rules, service standards, forms or other documents required for interconnection of a distributed energy system pursuant to K.S.A. 66-1,184 or 66-1263 et seq., and amendments thereto, or a net metering tariff that was voluntarily established by a utility, including the utility's historic amount of compensation per kilowatt hour for interconnected systems and the current compensation amount for such systems. Such historic amount of compensation shall be provided in a dollar amount and shown on a monthly or similar billing period basis for not less than the preceding five years.
- (b) The provisions of this section shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2025.
