Boilers and other appliances fired with LP gas shall not be installed below grade, or in pits or other depressions where LP gas could accumulate. This prohibition shall apply unless the system meets the following conditions:

1. (a) Is equipped with an alarm system that sounds an alarm or with other approved alerting devices;
2. (b) shuts down all of the equipment in the space; and
3. (c) is equipped with an approved exhaust system.
