- (a) Each entity operating a railroad in Kansas shall maintain at least two crew members in the control compartment of the lead locomotive unit of each train.
- (b) Compliance with subsection (a) shall not be required during switching operations, brake testing, or safety inspections; while stopped at a customer location; or while reducing the number of cars in a train when on a siding track.
