Every person required to register as a lobbyist shall register with the secretary of state on a form prescribed and provided by the commission. The registration shall be filed prior to lobbying in any calendar year. Whenever any new lobbying position is accepted by a registered lobbyist, the lobbyist shall file an additional registration in the same manner as the original.
