1. (a) Snipe.

   1. (1) For the purpose of this regulation, "snipe" shall mean any common or Wilson's snipe.
   2. (2) The open season for the taking of snipe shall begin on the first day of September and shall continue through December 16.
   3. (3) The entire state shall be open for the taking of snipe during the snipe season.
   4. (4) Shooting hours shall be from one-half hour before sunrise until sunset.
   5. (5) The daily bag limit shall be eight snipe.
   6. (6) The possession limit shall be 24 snipe.

2. (b) Rail.

   1. (1) For the purpose of this regulation, "rail" shall mean any Virginia rail or sora.
   2. (2) The open season for the taking of rail shall begin on the first day of September and shall continue through November 9.
   3. (3) The entire state shall be open for the taking of rails during the rail season.
   4. (4) Shooting hours shall be from one-half hour before sunrise until sunset.
   5. (5) The aggregate daily bag limit shall be 25 rails.
   6. (6) The aggregate possession limit shall be 75 rails.

3. (c) Woodcock.

   1. (1) For the purpose of this regulation, "woodcock" shall mean any American woodcock.
   2. (2) The open season for the taking of woodcock shall begin on the Saturday nearest October 14 and shall continue for 45 days.
   3. (3) The entire state shall be open for the taking of woodcock during the woodcock season.
   4. (4) Shooting hours shall be from one-half hour before sunrise until sunset.
   5. (5) The daily bag limit shall be three woodcock.
   6. (6) The possession limit shall be nine woodcock.
