- (a) Prior to the official start of a race, the stewards or racing judges shall lock the parimutuel machines and shall close the wagering in the race, after which time no parimutuel tickets shall be sold for the race.
- (b) Each organization licensee shall maintain in good order an electrical or other system approved by the commission for locking the parimutuel machines.
- (c) It shall be the secondary responsibility of the mutuel manager to ensure that wagering is terminated.
- (d) With prior approval from the commission, wagers placed on greyhounds only may be canceled for a period of time not to exceed five seconds after wagering is terminated.
