If a money amount is stated in the Final Order of Forfeiture, but the defendant has no known assets, the Financial Litigation/Asset Recovery Unit does not open a collection case. Any monitoring of an asset forfeiture money judgment case must be done outside of the Department’s Consolidated Debt Collection System (CDCS).
