Once the indictment or information has been approved and filed, it is the duty of the prosecuting attorney to submit to the Violent Crime and Racketeering Section a copy bearing the seal of the clerk of the court. In addition, the attorney should keep the Violent Crime and Racketeering Section informed of any unusual legal problems that arise in the course of the case, so those problems can be considered in providing guidance to other prosecutors.
