Sec. 7. SLP support personnel may not perform any of the following activities:

1. (1) Administer:

   1. (A) standardized or nonstandardized diagnostic tests; or
   2. (B) formal or informal evaluations;
2. or interpret test results.

3. (2) Participate in:

   1. (A) parent conferences;
   2. (B) case conferences; or
   3. (C) any interdisciplinary team;
4. without the presence of the supervisor or other licensed speech-language pathologist designated by the supervisor.
5. (3) Provide patient/client or family counseling.
6. (4) Write, develop, or modify a patient's or client's individualized treatment plan in any way.

7. (5) Assist with a patient or client without:

   1. (A) following the individualized treatment plans prepared by the supervisor; or
   2. (B) access to supervision.

8. (6) Sign any formal documents, for example, any of the following:

   1. (A) Treatment plans.
   2. (B) Reimbursement forms.
   3. (C) Reports.
9. However, the SLP support personnel may sign or initial informal treatment notes for review and cosignature by the supervisor if specifically asked to do so by the supervisor.
10. (7) Select patients or clients for services.
11. (8) Discharge a patient or client from services.
12. (9) Disclose clinical or confidential information either orally or in writing to anyone other than the supervisor.
13. (10) Make referrals for additional service outside the scope of the intervention setting.

14. (11) Communicate with:

    1. (A) the patient;
    2. (B) the client;
    3. (C) the family; or
    4. (D) others;
15. regarding any aspect of the patient or client status or service without the specific consent of the supervisor.

16. (12) Counsel or consult with:

    1. (A) the patient;
    2. (B) the client;
    3. (C) the family; or
    4. (D) others;
17. regarding the patient or client status or service.
18. (13) Represent himself or herself as a speech-language pathologist.
