Sec. 1. To qualify as an approved navigator continuing education course of study for purposes of IC 27-19-4-12 and 760 IAC 4-3-6, a navigator continuing education course of study shall meet the following:

1. (1) Be conducted or developed by a provider that is at least one (1) of the following:

   1. (A) An individual.
   2. (B) An insurance trade association.
   3. (C) An accredited college or university.
   4. (D) An educational organization.
   5. (E) An application organization.

2. (2) Relate to the duties of a navigator regarding:

   1. (A) health benefit exchanges;
   2. (B) public health insurance programs;
   3. (C) conflicts of interest and ethics;
   4. (D) privacy and security of information; or
   5. (E) Indiana insurance laws.
3. (3) Be approved by the commissioner under this rule.
