Sec. 2. In addition to the definitions in IC 27-1-15.6-2, the following definitions apply throughout this rule:

1. (1) "Advisory council" means the insurance producer education and continuing education advisory council created by IC 27-1-15.7-6.
2. (2) "Department" means the department of insurance.
3. (3) "Producer" means an insurance producer as defined by IC 27-1-15.6-2(7) and shall also include a solicitor licensed under IC 27-1-15.6-2(7).
4. (4) "Provider" means an individual, insurance company, insurance trade association, accredited college, or insurance education institution that offers an insurance producer continuing education course that is approved by the commissioner.
