Sec. 2. (a) A person shall not:

1. (1) claim, directly or indirectly, the person's own horse or a horse trained or driven by them; or
2. (2) cause such horse to be claimed directly or indirectly for the person's own account.

(b) A person shall not directly or indirectly:

1. (1) offer to claim or not to claim;
2. (2) enter into an agreement to claim or not to claim;
3. (3) attempt to prevent another person from claiming; any horse in a claiming race;
4. (4) claim a horse for an unlicensed or ineligible person; or
5. (5) claim a horse with funds loaned by an individual without prior approval of the judges.

(c) No person shall claim more than one (1) horse in a race.

(d) A person shall not directly or indirectly conspire to protect a horse from being claimed by arranging another person to lodge claims, a procedure known as protection claims.
