Sec. 5. (a) Nothing in the article requires the commission or its designees to assess a civil penalty for a violation.

(b) The commission or its designees may initiate any of the following enforcement actions for a violation in addition to a civil penalty:

1. (1) A disciplinary letter.
2. (2) A loss of purse when statutorily allowed or required.

3. (3) A license:

   1. (A) denial;
   2. (B) restriction;
   3. (C) suspension;
   4. (D) renewal refusal; or
   5. (E) revocation.
4. (4) Referral for criminal prosecution.
5. (5) Referral to another appropriate agency.
6. (6) Corrective action plan.
