Sec. 13. (a) This section applies only in bouts where the Unified Rules are not applicable.
(b) Bouts will be evaluated and scored by three (3) judges in accordance with the ten (10) point scoring system or another scoring system approved by the commission before the bout.
(c) For karate, a judge shall evaluate techniques in the following order of importance:
(1) Effective striking.
(2) Effective takedowns.
(3) Control of the fighting area.
(4) Effective aggressiveness.
(d) For kickboxing, a judge shall evaluate techniques in the following order of importance:
(1) Number of knockdowns.
(2) Cumulative effective impact on the opponent.
(3) Number of clean scoring strikes.
(4) Control of the fighting area and aggressiveness.
(e) For shootwrestling, a judge shall evaluate techniques in the following order of importance:
(1) Clean effective hits.
(2) Aggressiveness.
(3) Control of the fighting area.
(f) When scoring a round on the ten (10) point scale, a judge shall use the objective scoring criteria under 68 IAC 24-5-14(h).
(g) A round scored 10-10 should be very rare.
(h) There shall be scoring of an incomplete round.
(i) If the referee penalizes either professional martial artist, the appropriate points shall be deducted when the chief commission representative calculates the final score for the round.
