Sec. 3. (a) Bouts must be held in a ringed fighting area.

(b) A ringed fighting area must meet the following requirements:

1. (1) The fighting area floor must:

   1. (A) be:

      1. (i) not less than sixteen (16) feet by sixteen (16) feet; and
      2. (ii) not more than twenty (20) feet by twenty (20) feet;
   2. when measured inside the line of the ropes;
   3. (B) extend at least two (2) feet beyond the ropes;
   4. (C) be not more than four (4) feet above the floor of the building;
   5. (D) be padded with ensolite or similar closed-cell foam, with at least one (1) inch layer of foam padding; and
   6. (E) be clear of obstructions or objects.

2. (2) The fighting area must have three (3) sets of suitable steps, with one (1) set located in each of the following:

   1. (A) the red corner;
   2. (B) the blue corner; and
   3. (C) one (1) neutral corner.
3. (3) One (1) of the corners must have a blue designation, and the corner directly across must have a red designation.

4. (4) Ring posts must be:

   1. (A) made of metal, extending from the floor of the building to a minimum height of fifty-eight (58) inches above the fighting area floor;
   2. (B) padded in a manner approved by a commission representative; and
   3. (C) a minimum of twenty-four (24) inches away from the ring ropes.

5. (5) There must be four (4) ring ropes:

   1. (A) wrapped in a soft material;
   2. (B) not less than one (1) inch in diameter; and

   3. (C) with spacing of:

      1. (i) not less than twelve (12) inches apart; and
      2. (ii) not more than fourteen (14) inches apart.

(c) Fighting area specifications:

1. (1) must be approved; and
2. (2) may be altered;

by a commission representative.
