Sec. 1. (a) This article shall be:

1. (1) known as the Indiana regulated amusement device code; and
2. (2) published by the division;

for general use and distribution under that title. Whenever the term "this code" is used throughout this article, it shall mean the Indiana regulated amusement device code.

(b) The purpose of this article is to:

1. (1) establish and provide for the administration of an inspection program to regulate amusement devices; and

2. (2) set minimum standards in order to secure public safety, health, and general welfare through structural strength, stability, and safety incidental to the:

   1. (A) installation;
   2. (B) alteration;
   3. (C) repair;
   4. (D) removal; and
   5. (E) operation;
3. of regulated amusement devices.
