Sec. 47. (a) The certification standard for Hazardous Materials-Operations shall be as set forth in Chapter 7 and Sections 8.2, 8.3, 8.6, and 8.7 of the NFPA 470, Standard for Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Professional Qualifications, 2022 edition.

(b) To qualify for a certification based on the certification standard described in subsection (a), an individual must hold a certification in Hazardous Materials-Awareness.
