Sec. 27. (a) The certification standard for Swift Water Rescue-Operations shall be as set forth in Section 18.2 of the NFPA 1006, Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications, 2021 edition.

(b) To qualify for entry into a certification course based on the certification standard described in subsection (a), an individual must hold a certification in:

1. (1) Technical Rescue-Awareness;
2. (2) Rope Rescue-Operations; and
3. (3) Surface Water-Operations.
