Sec. 3. (a) The respondent shall file an answer within twenty (20) days of service of the complaint.

(b) The answer shall:

1. (1) be in writing;
2. (2) for each allegation, specifically admit, deny, explain, or indicate that the respondent is without sufficient knowledge to respond;
3. (3) be filed electronically with the board, as prescribed in 560 IAC 2-6-1.1 or as otherwise permitted by IC 4-21.5-3- 1; and
4. (4) be served on the complainant in accordance with IC 4-21.5-3-1.

(c) Upon the respondent's request, the hearing examiner may extend the time in which the respondent shall file an answer.
