Sec. 2. The following definitions apply throughout this rule:

1. (1) "Board" has the meaning set forth in IC 20-18-2-19.
2. (2) "Department" has the meaning set forth in IC 20-18-2-3.
3. (3) "School corporation" has a meaning set forth in 20-18-2-16 [IC 20-18-2-16], which includes charter and virtual schools.
4. (4) "Matrix" refers to the system developed by the department and approved by the board.
5. (5) "Teacher preparation program" has the meaning set forth in IC 20-28-3-1(b).
