Sec. 17. (a) This rule applies to all pension trust funds administered by INPRS and all circumstances under which a member may purchase service.

(b) A member who wishes to withdraw the service purchase amount plus accumulated interest after submitting a properly completed application for a refund to the fund, when permitted by Indiana law, satisfies the eligibility requirements necessary to receive a monthly allowance when the member is both age and service eligible for a retirement benefit.
