Sec. 12. Unless otherwise provided in law, creditable service shall be earned by a member injured during the scope of the member's employment and paid benefits under the Worker's Compensation Act or the State Personnel Act; however, no service credit shall be given for a period of time during which TRF or PERF disability benefits were paid.
