Sec. 31. "Official eartag" means an identification tag approved by the state veterinarian under 345 IAC 1-2.6 that bears an official identification number for individual animals. All official eartags applied to animals must bear an official eartag shield. The official eartag must be tamper resistant and have a high retention rate in the animal.
