Sec. 34. "Sensitive area" means a site where land application of domestic septage, grease, or a combination of domestic septage and grease poses a specific water quality threat to one (1) or more of the following:

1. (1) Aquifers used as a source of drinking water.
2. (2) Public water supply wells.
3. (3) Wellhead protection areas.
4. (4) Drinking water supply reservoirs.

5. (5) Areas requiring special protection from a threat to water quality or because of the area's aesthetic value to the citizens of Indiana, such as:

   1. (A) wetlands;
   2. (B) karst terrains;
   3. (C) the critical habitat of an endangered or threatened species; or

   4. (D) natural areas, including:

      1. (i) parks;
      2. (ii) nature preserves as regulated under IC 14-31;
      3. (iii) historic sites as defined in section 17 of this rule; and
      4. (iv) public lands as defined in IC 14-38-1-5.
