Sec. 3. (a) A refresher training course must meet the requirements of this section to obtain approval from the department.

(b) Each refresher training course must meet the following requirements:

1. (1) Be specific to each discipline.

2. (2) Review and discuss changes in federal and state regulations and other laws pertaining to the following:

   1. (A) Asbestos.
   2. (B) Developments in state-of-the-art procedures.
   3. (C) A review of key aspects of the initial training course.
3. (3) Include a written examination as described in section 4 of this rule.

(c) In addition to subsection (b), a refresher training course must meet the specific requirements for each appropriate discipline as follows:

1. (1) An inspector refresher training course must be at least one-half (1/2) day in duration.
2. (2) A management planner refresher training course must include one-half (1/2) day of management planner refresher training and one-half (1/2) day of inspector refresher training.

3. (3) The following refresher training courses must be at least one (1) day in duration:

   1. (A) Project designer.
   2. (B) Project supervisor.
   3. (C) Asbestos abatement contractor.
   4. (D) Worker.
