Sec. 17. An individual who finds an orphaned, sick, or injured deer in a chronic wasting disease positive area may only surrender the deer to a wild animal rehabilitator under 312 IAC 9-10-9 located in:

1. (1) the county in which the deer is found; or
2. (2) a county that is a documented chronic wasting disease positive area.
