Sec. 36. "Type I personal flotation device" means a wearable personal flotation device designed to turn most unconscious persons in the water from a face down position to a vertical or slightly backward position. The adult size device provides minimum buoyancy of twenty-two (22) pounds, and the child size provides a minimum buoyancy of eleven (11) pounds.
