Sec. 5. "Health care services" means any services, including medical, dental, eye, or hearing care, or pharmacy provided by the department to offenders. These services may be provided either by department staff, through a contract, or by a private provider selected by the department. Mental health services and the prescription of psychotropic or neuroleptic medications are not included in these services.
