Sec. 2. In addition to all other legal requirements, an individual applying for an Indiana driver's license after the individual's out-of-state license expired must do the following:

1. (1) If the applicant held an unrevoked license for at least one (1) year, and the license expired not more than three (3) years before the current application, the individual must pass:

   1. (A) an eyesight examination or provide a vision screening completed by an ophthalmologist or optometrist under IC 9-24-10-4(c)(1); and
   2. (B) the written examination.

2. (2) If the applicant held an unrevoked license for less than one (1) year, or the license expired more than five (5) years before the current application, the individual must pass:

   1. (A) an eyesight examination or provide a vision screening completed by an ophthalmologist or optometrist under IC 9-24-10-4(c)(1);
   2. (B) the written examination; and
   3. (C) a driving skills examination.
