Sec. 8. (a) Conduit must have a depth of cover of at least four (4) feet, including under ditches. The lines must be at least two (2) feet below any buried drainage structure or improvement. Conduit must be stubbed out at least two (2) inches into each handhole.
(b) Conduit must be installed under the approved permit plans and specifications.
(c) Conduit must be installed underground by trenching or directional drilling.
(d) Warning tape must be furnished and installed in trenches containing conduit, as shown on the approved permit plans.
(e) Conduit must be placed at least two (2) feet from the department's right-of-way fence line, unless otherwise approved by the department, and within the right-of-way.
