Neither a facility described in section 3(3) of this chapter nor an employee of the facility is liable for:

1. (1) civil damages from injury to a person required to visit the facility under this chapter; or

2. (2) damages caused to a person during the visitation described in subdivision (1) by another person required to visit the facility under this chapter;

   except for willful or grossly negligent acts intended to, or reasonably likely to, result in the injury or damage.
