As used in this chapter, "committee" refers to any of the following:

1. (1) A candidate's committee.
2. (2) A regular party committee.
3. (3) A committee organized by a legislative caucus of the house of representatives of the general assembly.
4. (4) A committee organized by a legislative caucus of the senate of the general assembly.
