As used in this chapter, "properly sized" refers to the sizing and configuration of a grease trap or grease interceptor in accordance with:

1. (1) good engineering practice;
2. (2) state plumbing codes; and

3. (3) manufacturer specifications;

   sufficient to prevent fats, oils, and grease from entering a sewer system or a nonresidential onsite sewage system in quantities that cause blockages, interference, or maintenance problems.
