Ind. Code § 8-1-46-5

"Customer average interruption duration index"

As added by P.L.36-2026, SEC.10.

As used in this chapter, "customer average interruption duration index", or "CAIDI", means an index that:

  1. (1) indicates the average time required to restore electric service to an electricity supplier's customers affected by sustained service interruptions; and
  2. (2) is calculated by determining the quotient of:

    1. (A) the sum of sustained service interruption durations in minutes for a specified period; divided by
    2. (B) the total number of customers affected by the sustained service interruptions;

      in accordance with IEEE 1366.
