"System average interruption duration index"
As added by P.L.36-2026, SEC.10.
As used in this chapter, "system average interruption duration index", or "SAIDI", means an index that:
- (1) indicates the total duration of sustained service interruptions for an electricity supplier's average customer during a specified period; and
(2) is calculated by determining the quotient of:
- (A) the sum of sustained service interruption durations in minutes for the specified period; divided by
(B) the total number of customers;
in accordance with IEEE 1366.
