Notwithstanding IC 8-1-40-21 , in adopting rules under this chapter, the commission may amend the commission's rules and standards set forth in:

1. (1) 170 IAC 4-4.2 (concerning net metering); and

2. (2) 170 IAC 4-4.3 (concerning interconnection);

   only as necessary to implement Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Order No. 2222 concerning distributed energy resources and distributed energy resource aggregators.
