1. (a) As used in this chapter, "construction" means the physical work involved in the construction, reconstruction, improvement, maintenance, or extension of a pipeline project.

2. (b) The term includes the following:

   1. (1) The preparation of the construction site.
   2. (2) Disassembling and removing a structure.
   3. (3) Related work.
